The summer camp application guide

In order to apply, future participants must meet the below requirements:

  • Must be 18 or over by the time you attend camp.
  • Summer camp counselors must be native English speakers or for those that are not native, demonstrate a very high level of English.
  • If you apply during the year, be available at least 1 month.
  • If you apply for the summer period, be available between June 15th to 15th August (aprox).
  • Have a clean criminal record.

Desirable credentials

Furthemore, the following points are required as are seen desirable credentials to get accepted
in this program:

  • Experience in teaching is very important as you are going to spend all your days playing and organizing activities with kids so is essential that you have skills and knowledges on how to work with them.
  • Degree or studies related with education is considering a very important asset to accepted.
  • Experience living and/ or working abroad.
  • Skills in summer camps roles like; sports, music, singing, lifeguarding, hiking, climbing etc.
  • Have a good lesson planning and organization skills are extremely helpful.

Additional staff

As is not frequently, some summer camps may ask you some certificates, such as:

  • Police background check
  • Medical certificate
