There is a camp role for everyone

To GO camp spain, the most important thing is to find participants who, through their involvement and passion for dealing with kids, transmit values, culture, and also get the kids to communicate in English as long as possible.

Whatever your background, skills or passion, there will be a Counsellor role to suit you! We work with most amount of camps in which among their activities are a wide range of roles where every participant can feel comfortable with.

Based on your application and your CV, the Camp will decide which Counsellor role you’re best suited to. This is an example of the most common jobs roles you’ll find

General Counselors

As a general counselors, among other things, you’ll briefing with other staff members, greeting new campers as they arrive to the facilities, managing the operation of recreational facilities, monitoring campers to ensure their safety, Organizing and leading activities for campers etc.

Instructor for sport activities

Sport Instructors will use their expertise in a specific athletic discipline at the camp to impart knowledge and demonstrate the basic principles, fundamentals, and techniques of the sport(s) they teach to campers. There are many sport activities; football, tennis, basketball, handball etc.

Football coaching

If you’re a bit of a soccer coach then teaching it at a summer camp in Spain is perfect for you. Football coaching task is probably one of the most prefered activities of kids. Your job is to teach fun sessions, and help campers improve. You could also propose soccer tournaments during the free time.

Lifeguarding

Lifeguarding is to monitor and supervise aquatic activities. They are in charge of making sure all campers follow the pre-established security measures to avoid injuries and other accidents. Lifeguards are also responsible for responding to any emergency that may occur in a timely manner.

Teaching assistant

You as a participant, are going to have an important role at the camp in term of teaching your languages to campers, you will make a real difference in child lifes and you’ll feel rewarded to see that your work is important to others. Normally at every camps English lessons will be implemented during 2 or 3 specific days.

Coordinator in multi adventuresactivities

This concept encompasses a broad range of sports practised either in specific facilities or outdoors. Summer camps in Spain normally have Multi-adventure package during the time they run their activities making the environment much joyful and pleasant.

Supervisor in outdoor games and excursions

Helping campers to engage with the outdoors has clear benefits for their enjoyment at the camp life and in their education. Many camps find that promoting a range of nature and outdoor games can make playtimes more positive and help eliminate boredom or unconstructive behaviour.

Theater & Dance Classes

Teaching theater & dance at the camps is one of the camper’s favourite activities that they never usually get to try at home. Summer Camps in Spain often look to hire enthusiasts participants with these knowledges because they have a few different cross-over skills.

Performing Arts

If your passion is dance, acting or music, these activities will be your soft spot. Whatever it is that you do within this area will be good enough for camp, almost every camp in Spain will run a performing arts program and there are lot of workshops you could do it.

Music Teacher

As a Music teacher you’ll plan & lead cultural & evening programs, Prepare & supervise music workshop and record your songs among other things. You’ll probably be asked to bring your own instrument.

Hiking Leader

Leading Hiking and Adventure trips at Summer Camp, you’ll find yourself planning out exciting hikes, leading groups of campers, setting up campsites, and cooking all the food on an open campfire.

Climbing Instructor

You will manage all safety aspects of the climbing program, providing encouragement and support to campers while they climb, instructing them on climbing skills. Assisting in other areas of the camp program when needed.

There is plenty of free time during the day to rest, get a tennis and hit some balls or maybe have a swim in the pool to get tuned from the sunny Spanish weather! After that, you can also get the famous “Spanish Siesta (a nap after lunch) or introduce the Spanish children some unique skills from your country like Hurling or Cricket to have fun.
